Founded in 1995 as a re-seller of used and refurbished videoconferencing equipment, Review Video shifted its focus in 1998 when it became an authorized reseller for Polycom. Polycom had just launched its new ViewStation line and partners Susan Beane and Marty Karlin, both veterans in the videoconferencing field, were convinced that this new product line was going to revolutionize the industry. Susan and Marty set out to create an organization that could capitalize on this explosion by providing world class service and support to customers as they began to adopt this emerging technology.
Since 1998, Review Videos focus on providing outstanding service and support has earned it a large and loyal customer base. The company has been quick to adapt to the changing needs of the market and has made adjustments and additions over the years that have shaped the nature of the business today. In 1999, Review began to shift its focus from end-user sales to supporting their growing base of videoconferencing dealers. Also in 1999, Review introduced a revolutionary maintenance program called GOLD SEAL. Gold Seals mission was to make video conferencing "hassle free" to the dealer and end user by offering installation options, unlimited tech support, user training, a 24 hour video test facility and a 5 year guarantee for next-day replacement of any defective products with new equipment. In 2000, Review Video expanded internationally, opening Review Video UK in Berkshire, England in order to better serve its growing international customer base. And in 2002, Review opened a new 30,000 square foot facility in Aurora, IL to house its growing operation.
